About me

I am a recent graduate of Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program and hold a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University, where I majored in Sociology and minored in Psychology.
My professional experience spans a variety of settings, including Lanark County Interval House (local VAW shelter), Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc, and Lanark Highlands Youth Centre. I have worked with all ages, genders, and a wide range of mental health concerns. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy—one rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and personal growth.
In my practice, I emphasize self-compassion, strength-building, and culturally sensitive care, integrating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, and Humanistic approaches.
Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.  â€‹â€‹â€‹Beyond my professional life, I have a deep love for yoga, travel, movies, reading, home decor and design, and animals. I grew up surrounded by animals and now share my home with my cat, Mowgli, who may make the occasional appearance in virtual sessions.

My Work

Every individual is unique and comes to therapy with their own lived experiences; therefore, I tailor my approach to meet each person's unique needs. My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing from several modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness and Attachment based approaches.

My work in gender-based violence has given me the ability to work with a variety of age groups and address unique needs. This work has also provided me with experience in addressing relationship issues, identifying healthy and unhealthy behaviours, and understanding the impacts of trauma on individuals and families. I emphasize strength building, self-love, and compassion in my practice, helping you to navigate life's challenges and achieve meaningful change.

Some of my main areas of focus include:

Trauma & Abuse

Anxiety

Depression

Couples Counselling

Relationship & Family issues

Self-esteem & Confidence

Gender Identity

Burnout

Self-Discovery & Establishing Purpose

Please note: I do not have any religious affiliation, and my therapeutic approach is not based in any religious framework. While individuals of all faiths and belief systems are welcome and respected in our work together, therapy is offered from a secular, inclusive foundation. Additionally, I am not experienced or qualified to work with eating disorders and will refer clients to professionals who specialize in that area for the appropriate support.
